Eco-SOL
Media (ESM) Tested and profiled to perform with the SOLJET
EX Series, Roland ESM includes a range of competitively priced, uncoated adhesive
backed vinyls along with other popular substrates. The list includes glossy calendared
vinyl with permanent adhesive, matte calendared vinyl with permanent adhesive,
clear calendared vinyl with permanent adhesive, view through vinyl with removable
adhesive, calendared wrap vinyl with removable adhesive, translucent calendared
vinyl with removable adhesive, flame retardant scrim banner, and blockout scrim
banner. In the near future, Roland will grow this lineup even further with other
low-cost products, such as paper and film. The EX Series also performs well with
all Roland SOLJET Certified Media (SCM); and it is compatible with some PCM, PQM
and PGM offerings.
Eco-SOL INK Advanced Eco-SOL INK
works in conjunction with an integrated media heating system to bond aggressively
with a wide range of economical media, including both coated and uncoated substrates.
The new mild solvent ink prints with brilliant color at high resolutions without
special ventilation or environmental equipment. It is safe to use and virtually
odor free. Blazing Print Speed
The EX Series can print up to 300 sqft/hr at 450 dpi. Roland developed this unique,
sign-quality print mode especially for sign, exhibit and POP makers. One inch
wide, the print heads employ 360 nozzles each. Large 30-sqft banners take only
10 minutes. Uncoated substrates, however, may require slower print speeds to allow
media to heat up to the appropriate temperature. The chart below illustrates
the various print modes, resolution settings, and the resulting production capacity
in square feet per hour.

Great Print Quality The EX Series
precisely controls droplet placement in both the print head travel and paper feed
directions to provide true 1440 x 1440 dpi resolution. It uses variable droplet
Piezo print heads and a digital servomotor to control the media. Variable droplet
technology utilizes micro-precise ink droplets of three different sizes depending
on the type of output. This state-of-the-art technology delivers truly breathtaking
output with beautifully smooth, dot-free tones even at high speed. Reliability
As with all Roland inkjets, the SOLJET EX Series offers years of reliable
service, even in the most demanding shop environments. Each one is built with
solid construction and enhancements for precise media control. It also features
new print head maintenance systems for unmatched mechanical reliability.
Network Connection Equipped with a standard
100 BASE-TX/10 BASE-T interface, the EX Series connects seamlessly to office networks
with a data transmission rate of 1.1 Mb/sec. This makes it easy to configure a
highly efficient printing environment. A parallel cable can be used for stand-alone
printing. |
