cutting printed graphics. By eliminating the need to reload and reposition
graphics, the VersaCAMM's integrated cutters save time and effort.Quadralign™ 
For laminating graphics, simply remove prints, laminate and reload them for precision cutting. The Quadralign four-point optical registration system automatically realigns the cutting path and compensates for skew and distortion. TheVersaCAMM SP-300V can also function as a stand-alone vinyl cutter. Advanced Eco-SOL INK  Roland Eco-SOL INK is formulated especially for VersaCAMM and SOLJET Pro II V Series inkjets. The advanced mild solvent ink prints on both coated and uncoated materials without any need for special ventilation or environmental equipment. Water, scratch and UV resistant graphics up to 3-years outdoors*, it comes in 220ml no-mess cartridges of CMYK + LcLm. It is both safe to use and virtually odor free. *Outdoor durability is based on accelerated weather tests. Results may vary depending upon location and application. Dry times vary depending on specific media characteristics. Lamination may be required for some applications or environmental conditions. Bundled Software  VersaWorks is a powerful software RIP developed exclusively for Roland inkjets. Built upon the genuine Adobe® PostScript® CPSI™ engine, VersaWorks offers true Postcript 3 and level 2 support. It is compatible with Windows 2000 and XP Pro. VersaWorks features an efficient GUI operation that allows you to take full advantage of the VersaCAMM’s capabilities from a single master window. In addition to a full range of printing and contour cutting options, it offers a wide variety of convenient layout, edit and print functions such as nesting, tiling and auto/manual-layout, among others. You can drag and drop files directly to either of the two printer queues for organizing your print jobs. These features combine with an advanced color management system to ensure the highest overall levels of performance. In addition, VersaWorks offers the ability to preview jobs on screen, reducing ink and media consumption. It features network support for both Windows and Mac users. Users can automatically update VersaWorks through the Internet, ensuring that they have the latest version and ICC profiles available. Built-In Heating  An integrated heating system, which can be set from 95° to 122 °F, helps Eco-SOL INK bond to both uncoated and coated media and dry faster. For ease of use, the heating system is controlled from the printer as well as the computer. For energy efficiency, a single source of power runs both the heating system and print/cut mechanism. Eco-SOL Media  Eco-SOL Media is developed especially for Roland Eco-SOL INK, which is used by VersaCAMM and SOLJET Pro II V Series inkjet printers. It includes a wide selection of competitively priced, uncoated adhesive-backed vinyls and other popular substrates. The line-up currently consists of glossy, matte, clear and translucent calendered, premium cast vinyl, premium reflective vinyl, view-through vinyl, flame retardant scrim banner, blockout scrim banner and solvent glossy paper. Roland also offers an additional 20 materials that optimize Pro II V and VersaCAMM print quality. They include heat transfer material, backlit film, matte artist canvas and a high-quality matte paper in its SCM, PQM, PGM and PCM media line-ups. All Roland media are profiled to perform flawlessly with Roland printers and inks. Low Running Costs Tested and profiled to perform with the VersaCAMM and SOLJET Pro II V Series printers and printer/cutters, Roland Eco-SOL Media (ESM) includes a range of competitively priced, uncoated adhesive backed vinyls along with other popular substrates. Average running cost (ink and media) is a mere 65 cents per square foot. The VersaCAMM also performs well with select Roland SOLJET Certified Media (SCM); and it is compatible with numerous PCM, PQM and PGM offerings. Great Print Quality  The VersaCAMM uses variable droplet technology to precisely control droplet placement in both print head travel and paper feed directions. It can achieve print resolutions up to 1440 dpi. Blazing Print Speed  With VersaWorks, the SP-300V prints at faster speeds in the higher quality modes. In addition, new 4- and 8-pass print modes allow you to take full advantage of the SP-300V’s capabilities.
Media Counter The VersaCAMM SP-300V media counter allows users to enter the length of a new roll of media into the printer’s control panel. The counter then tracks media usage, allowing the user to check the amount of media remaining on the roll prior to printing. When media is removed from the printer, the amount remaining can be printed directly onto the leading edge of the roll for future reference. Removable Media Guides To ensure correct media feed and the highest possible image quality, the SP-300V has both long and short removable media guides. These guides are essential when using media with edge curl tendencies. They can be removed for print/cut operation. Pragmatic Color Matching Roland offers a chip chart for easy color matching. Simply download the chart, print it with the correct settings on the media you plan to use and have your customer choose the color they desire from the chart. Take the color value from that selected color and modify the color value in the original file to match. Export that file to the Versaworks™ RIP and print. Now that color will match the chip that your customer selected.  1. Check for incorrect colors on the test print. 2. Select the final colors from the color chip chart. 3. Enter color-corrected swatch information into the file. |
