PosterPrinter™
Systems FAQs
| Q. My print completely
fades out along the left edge. What could be wrong? |
A. Make sure that the left
side of the cover is completely closed and that there is nothing resting
on top of the machine that could make it unbalanced.
| Q. Does it matter
how the paper roll is put into the printer? |
A. Yes, the paper should
roll out from the bottom of the roll toward the front of the printer.
| Q. To hook up
the printer to my computer, can just a regular printer cable
be used? |
A. It is recommended to
use an IEEE 1284 compliant printer cable to ensure the best communication
between the printer and computer.
| Q. The printer
shows ERROR on the display while feeding paper through the scanner,
what is the best way to pull the jammed paper document from
the scanner assembly? |
A. Lift the right edge of
the scanner to remove the jammed document.
| Q. My print is
blotchy and/or faded in random areas. What could be wrong? |
A. This can happen when
the printer is resting on top of an uneven or unstable surface. If
your printer is resting on a stable and even surface, then the printer
may need to be cleaned.
| Q. What causes
my poster paper to wrinkle when printing? |
A. A loose paper bracket
can cause this problem. Try adjusting the paper bracket by loosening
the black adjustment knob and sliding the paper bracket until it is
snug. This should stop the paper roll from sliding around and correct
the wrinkling paper issue.
| Q. A line is running
down my poster but is not on the original document I scanned.
What is causing it? |
A. Try running the original
again with the print mode set to reverse. If a white line appears,
there is something on the scanner glass. See instructions on cleaning
the Scanner Assembly.
| Q. The printer
is making a rattle-like noise and a message appears on the display
that states "Shuttle Error". What do I do? |
A. Check the printer to
make sure you have removed all the packaging from the shuttle unit.
See the unpacking instructions for the list of all items to be removed.
If all packaging has been removed, try cleaning the shuttle shaft
with a dry clean cloth.
| Q. How do I clean
my ProImage XL/Plus3000 PosterPrinter System? |
A. Open cleaning instructions.
| Q. How do I clean
the scanner on my ProImage XL/Plus 3000 PosterPrinter System? |
A. Open scanner cleaning
instructions.
| Q. Why are my
banners not printing full size in Windows NT 4.0 or Windows
2000? |
A. If you have printer driver
version 1.0E or 1.04E for the ProImage XL/Plus3000 System then check
the print driver settings. If you have a printer driver less than
1.04E, it should be upgraded to that level. |
